SHU Restaurant is currently seeking Senior Chefs and Chef de Parties to join our team.
As a Senior Chef or Chef de Partie you will be expected to run various sections in the kitchen and will be responsible for executing all dishes produced to a high standard. Being a team player is important and you will be expected to help lead the junior team members (commis chefs & apprentice chefs) developing their ability and knowledge of a professional kitchen environment.
Main tasks of the roles include
- Preparing, cooking and presenting food in line with required standards.
- Making sure that food is served promptly.
- Monitoring food production to ensure consistent quality and portion size.
- Assist in maintaining a 5 star hygiene rating
- Following relevant hygiene, health and safety guidelines.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum of 2 year’s experience in restaurants or hotels
- Commitment in providing the highest standards
- Must be a team player
- Must be able to read, follow instructions and converse in the English language
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of working in fining dining style restaurants.
- An appropriate qualification such as NVQ Level 2 or higher in Catering.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £33,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
