About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Plumber who lives in or near Birmingham, wants steady local work, and is keen to grow with a business expanding across the West Midlands and beyond.
You’ll be carrying out plumbing installations, maintenance, and repairs as part of our wider refurbishment, retrofit, and social housing programmes — playing a key role in shaping what PBG West Midlands becomes.
What you’ll be responsible for
You’ll deliver high-quality plumbing work across occupied homes, ensuring all work is safe, efficient, and completed to a professional standard.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of domestic plumbing systems
- Fitting and connecting pipes, water systems, toilets, basins, baths, and showers
- Diagnosing and resolving plumbing faults, leaks, and blockages
- Working on kitchen and bathroom plumbing installations
- Ensuring all work complies with building regulations and safety standards
- Working within PAS 2030 / retrofit environments (where applicable)
- Maintaining clean and tidy workspaces in occupied properties
- Communicating clearly with tenants and site teams
- Completing job reports, photos, and compliance documentation accurately and on time
- Delivering a high level of customer service in social housing settings
What we’re looking for
Essential
- Proven experience as a Plumber
- Relevant plumbing qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent)
- CSCS card or equivalent industry certification
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of health & safety in occupied environments
- High attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Based in Birmingham or the surrounding West Midlands
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Experience working in social housing or occupied properties
- Familiarity with retrofit or energy efficiency programmes
- Multi-trade skills (e.g. basic tiling or carpentry)
