Job Overview
As a Care Navigator based in the Reception Department, you will play a vital role in providing a friendly, efficient, and professional service to our patients and supporting the wider clinical and administrative team. You will be the first point of contact for many patients, helping them access the most appropriate care and services in a timely manner.
Key Responsibiliites Include:
- Answering incoming telephone calls and responding to patient enquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
- Providing a welcoming and efficient front desk reception service to patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals.
- Navigating patients through the appropriate care pathway, ensuring they are directed to the right clinician or service.
- Signposting patients to appropriate NHS, community, and support services based on their individual needs.
- Booking, amending, and managing appointments using the clinical appointment systems, TTP SystmOne and Anima.
- Overseeing and coordinating appointments for specialist clinics, including women’s health, minor operations, steroid injection clinics, and other enhanced services.
- Supporting patients with registration, documentation, and general administrative queries.
- Processing clinical and administrative tasks accurately and confidentially in line with practice policies and data protection requirements.
- Working closely with GPs, nurses, healthcare assistants, and the wider practice team to ensure a smooth patient journey.
- Assisting with the organisation and promotion of practice health campaigns, awareness events, and community engagement activities.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring all information is updated promptly.
- Providing excellent customer service while managing a busy and varied workload with empathy and professionalism.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, confident using IT systems, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care and support.

Pay: £12.71-£13.10 per hour
