YR Events is an independent catering and events company delivering exceptional food and service at corporate events, private parties and celebrations across Surrey, South London and the surrounding areas.
We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and professional Casual Event Waiters/Waitresses to join our growing team. This is a flexible role, ideal for individuals with hospitality experience who enjoy working in different venues and delivering outstanding guest service.
No two events are the same, so we're looking for people who are adaptable, hardworking and happy to get involved in every aspect of event service.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Set up event spaces, tables, buffets and service stations.
- Serve food, canapés and beverages to a high standard.
- Assist with drinks service and clearing throughout the event.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards.
- Keep service areas clean, organised and well presented.
- Support with loading, unloading and packing away equipment where required.
- Work closely with chefs and the event management team to ensure smooth service.
- Represent YR Events professionally at all times.
Requirements
- Previous hospitality or event experience is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Smart, professional appearance.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Available to work evenings, weekends and occasional daytime events.
- Able to lift and carry equipment as part of event setup and breakdown.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- Must have reliable transport and be able to travel independently to venues across Surrey, South London and surrounding areas. Access to a car is highly desirable due to the varying event locations and finish times.

Pay: £14.50-£16.00 per hour
