The SYDNI Centre is a community centre in the heart of the Sydenham estate in Leamington Spa.
We are a registered charity which is needs led, provides a wide range of services and activities for the local community and beyond. We work collaboratively with a wide range of partner organisations, external organisations, and community volunteers to support people to gain confidence and improve their economic, social / cultural, health and wellbeing outcomes.
We have a vacancy for a Centre Manager for 35 hours per week. The person appointed will oversee and coordinate, the safe efficient running of the SYDNI Centre: its building, resources, staff and volunteers, and all the activities, services and projects we commission or deliver.
Ensure the financial sustainability and strategic growth of the centre – a core focus of the role is securing institutional funding, writing successful grant bids, and managing relationships with public and private donors to ensure the long-term viability of community programs.
Work in partnership with Trustees to realise our vision that the centre is a welcoming vibrant and safe facility for the benefit of local residents.
Contract: The role is on a permanent basis. The post will require an Enhanced DBS Check.
Salary Details: £42,000 p.a. for 35 hours. Monday to Friday.

Holiday Entitlement (pro-rata): 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays per year (this is incremental depending on length of service).
Experience: The successful candidate must demonstrate a keen interest to work within a community environment. It is essential to have a working knowledge of grant applications and public funds, a minimum of three years' experience in facilities management, community work or charity operations. You must also have a strong understanding of financial management, bookkeeping, and budget control. You will need knowledge of safeguarding, GDPR, and Health and Safety Legislation. You must have excellent people skills, be approachable, motivated and have a sense of humour.
