Location: Basingstoke, with travel across Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire , Oxfordshire ,Dorset, West Sussex and surrounding areas
Job type: Full-time Self Employed or Employed to suit
Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work

About the role
Due t continued growth and increasing demand for our repair and maintenance services, we are looking for an experienced Service Engineer to join the Brackenwood team.
As a Service Engineer, you will represent Brackenwood in customers’ homes, assessing and resolving issues with windows, doors, conservatories and roofline products. This role focuses on repair and service work for customers who require professional assistance with existing products.
You will be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs and adjustments, and ensuring every customer receives the high standard of service and workmanship associated with the Brackenwood name.
You will work across Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire, supporting customers with a wide range of service and repair requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Attend customer appointments to assess window, door, conservatory and roofline issues
- Carry out repairs, adjustments and remedial works professionally and efficiently
- Diagnose faults and identify practical, customer-focused solutions
- Provide clear communication and excellent customer service in customers’ homes
- Represent Brackenwood professionally at every appointment
- Work independently, managing your workload and appointments effectively
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, presentation and communication
About you
We are looking for someone who is experienced, reliable and self-motivated, with a strong background in the fenestration industry.
You will ideally have:
- You will ideally have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Window, Door or Service Engineer
- Strong practical knowledge of windows, doors, conservatories and roofline products
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- A professional and customer-focused approach
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays when required
- A Fenestration Installation qualification and MTC card would be preferred, but is not essential
