Role Purpose
To install lightweight tiled roofing systems to conservatories and residential properties, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. The role involves removing existing conservatory roofs, installing structural supports where required, fitting lightweight roof systems and completing associated finishing works to deliver an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
· Remove existing conservatory roof systems safely and efficiently.
· Install lightweight tiled and EPDM rubber roof systems in accordance with company specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
· Fit roof structures, rafters, insulation, breathable membranes, battens and lightweight roof tiles (Tapco and Metro Tiles).
· Install roof windows, ventilation systems, fascias, soffits and guttering where required.
· Complete internal finishing works, including plasterboard installation and preparation for plastering.
· Ensure all installations comply with Building Regulations and company quality standards.
· Conduct a pre-start site survey and identify any installation challenges or variations.
· Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area at all times.
· Ensure all waste materials are removed and disposed of appropriately.
· Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues throughout the installation process.
· Complete installation paperwork, photographs and quality documentation accurately.
· Report any issues, defects or health and safety concerns to management promptly.
· Support other installation teams as required.
Health & Safety Responsibilities
· Work in accordance with company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
· Use all required PPE and safety equipment.
· Ensure safe use of ladders, scaffolding, towers and access equipment.
· Maintain high standards of housekeeping on all customer sites.
· Report accidents, near misses and unsafe conditions immediately.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
· Previous experience fitting lightweight tiled roof systems, conservatory roofs, roofing or home improvement products.
· Strong carpentry and roofing skills.
· Ability to interpret installation drawings and technical specifications.
· Experience using hand and power tools.
· Good customer service and communication skills.
· Full UK driving licence.
· Ability to work at height safely.
Desirable:
· Experience fitting conservatory warm roofs.
· Experience installing and replacing glazed units.
· NVQ in Roofing, Carpentry or Construction.
· PASMA, IPAF or Working at Height certification.
· First Aid qualification.
· Experience within the home improvement sector.

Pay: £40,000.00-£44,000.00 per year
