We're looking for a Waste Operative who will deliver excellent service standards, while meeting SLA agreements and adhering to collection schedules.

Shift Description: Monday to Friday; 9:30 to 18:30
Location: Castle Hill Hospital, Castle Road, Cottingham, East Riding of Yorkshire, England HU16 5JQ
Role Responsibilities:
- Collect, move, sort, process, and dispatch waste and materials across the hospital.
- Load/unload hazardous and non-hazardous waste safely and efficiently.
- Respond to adhoc client requests and maintain cleanliness through regular litter picks.
- Complete daily equipment check sheets and report unsafe conditions or incidents.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental policies, and waste legislation.
What we're looking for:
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks safely.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather.
- Manual handling training and strong literacy/numeracy skills.
- Excellent timekeeping, attendance, and a diligent, safety-first mindset.
- Desirable: experience in the waste industry and use of balers/compactors.
