An exciting opportunity has come up to join the University’s Legal Services team as a newly qualified solicitor. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, the appointee to this role will carry out a range of commercial and intellectual property work across the University.
Duties and responsibilities will include negotiating and drafting of commercial contracts and agreements, providing legal and associated advice, and being part of a team which contributes to risk management and exploitation of commercial opportunities for the University’s Schools and Professional Services. You will have the opportunity to develop your own areas of interest and relationships with colleagues to allow you to lead on different projects or areas of growth for the University, particularly as it expands its digital and online offerings.
Experience in a role in a University together with an understanding of or an interest in intellectual property and the Higher Education sector would be advantageous.
