Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations. Responsibilities
- Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
- Supporting the kitchen team with organisation and stock replenishment
- Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures
- Maintaining a tidy and safe working environment at all times
- Supporting serving staff during busy periods when required
- Adhering to health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is advantageous but not essential
- Familiarity with food preparation and basic cooking techniques is desirable
- Experience working in a fast-paced hospitality setting will be beneficial
- Knowledge of hygiene standards and health & safety regulations in kitchens is preferred
- Enthusiasm for culinary arts and hospitality industry development is encouraged
