Seabird in Margate is recruiting for full time / permanent / career hospitality roles to work at venues in Margate and a new venue in Ramsgate (launching in July).
Seabird is an all-day cafe / bar serving great coffee, freshly cooked food, craft cocktails and natural wine on the seafront of Old Town Margate.
We're looking for people with experience in some or all of the following areas:
- Hardworking, positive, seasonal hospitality businesses.
- Serving quality products; freshly made food and quality drinks.
- Organised and with good communication skills
- Delivering great customer experience; lights / sound / music / customer comfort.
- Modern barista techniques, able to dial in a grinder, extract perfectly balanced espresso and produce elegant steamed milk with latte art.
- Make and serve modern and classic cocktails to a high standard.
- Look after a beer cellar.
- Run a section in a busy, casual dining environment, managing turn times and exceeding guest expectations.
- Talk confidently to guests about wine and food choices.
- Handle telephone and in person enquiries with a professional and confident manner.
- Make sure the venue is kept clean and organised at all times.
- Cash up and complete basic financial reporting.
These are permanent, all-year round roles for people who have chosen to work in hospitality for at least the next 18 months.
Seabird is an all-day, seven day a week operation but the busiest times will be weekends and school holidays, so availability at these times is essential.
We offer a competitive hourly wage topped up with tips and service charge.
