We are a growing property maintenance company looking for an experienced and reliable Carpenter / Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative to join our team on a self-employed basis.
This is a varied role, working across residential and commercial properties, where no two days are the same. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can work independently, and is confident tackling a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- General carpentry repairs and installations.
- Fire door inspections, repairs, adjustments, and installations in line with current fire safety regulations.
- General building maintenance and property repairs.
- Basic plumbing, decorating, patch plastering, tiling, and other multi-trade tasks.
- Identifying defects and recommending appropriate repairs.
- Completing work to a high standard while maintaining excellent customer service.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a carpenter with strong multi-trade skills.
- Good knowledge of fire door maintenance and fire safety compliance.
- Ability to carry out general building maintenance.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Own van and tools.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and a professional approach.
Desirable
- Experience working in occupied residential properties.
- Knowledge of current fire safety legislation and compliance requirements.
- Relevant trade qualifications or certifications.
