Overview
We’re looking for a Strip-Out Technician to join our Field Operations team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient removal of fire- or water-damaged building materials, fixtures, and fittings, ensuring that properties are left clean, safe, and ready for reinstatement or further restoration works.
Attention to detail is critical, as all documentation must be completed accurately and in full the first time, incomplete records are treated as a serious health and safety risk.
As part of our One Team, One Purpose ethos, you’ll also support other departments (Water, Fire, Logistics, Contents) and uphold our commitment to Excellence as Our Standard. The role requires full participation in the on-call rota (including weekends) and flexibility during surge events, where additional commitment is needed to meet urgent customer demand.

- Strip-Out Works – safely remove damaged plasterboard, flooring, insulation, fixtures, fittings, and units while protecting unaffected areas with sheeting/barriers.
- Waste Management – log, segregate, and dispose of waste in line with SOPs, ensuring sites are left tidy, safe, and ready for reinstatement.
- Compliance & Safety – complete all H&S forms and risk assessments accurately, follow RAMS, PPE, COSHH, and manual handling procedures, and report hazards immediately.
- Customer Service – explain works clearly to policyholders, maintain professionalism, and minimise disruption in occupied homes.
- Cross-Team Support – assist Water, Fire, and Logistics colleagues when required, and provide flexible cover during surge events and on-call duties.
- Equipment & Vehicles – complete daily vehicle/tool checks, maintain clean and compliant vans, and report any faults promptly.
