We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant General Manager for our bustling pub to lead daily operations with enthusiasm and expertise. Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily pub operations, ensuring smooth service flow and high standards of hospitality.
- Supervise and motivate staff across front-of-house and kitchen teams, fostering a positive work environment.
- Oversee events with food preparation, cooking, and food production processes to ensure quality and consistency.
- Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and uphold cleanliness standards throughout the venue.
- Support hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of team members.
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff on menu planning, specials, and inventory management to optimise food and drinks offerings.
- Monitor bar operations including serving drinks, barista tasks, and beverage presentation to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Implement operational procedures that promote efficiency, safety, and a lively atmosphere.
- Handle guest feedback or concerns with professionalism, turning challenges into positive experiences.
- Work with Marketing and Operations for Events
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in hospitality or restaurant settings with strong team management skills.
- Extensive restaurant experience with a focus on food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen operations; previous culinary or hotel experience is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with barista skills and bar service operations preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate diverse teams under pressure.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and health regulations applicable to hospitality venues.
- Experience in food production, serving, and hospitality environments that require multitasking and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
