Flint Owl Bakery & Cafe, Lewes is looking for a highly experienced Assistant Manager for our Bakery Cafe.
We are a wholesale and retail craft bakery producing organic breads, pastries, cakes etc and cooking seasonal food from our farm for our four cafes in Sussex.
We are looking for an assistant cafe manager with a wealth of experience gleamed from quality cafe/restaurant/food retail management roles. Most importantly you will have the sparkling personality needed to engage with our customers and positively inspire your team.
You will have an understanding of the current coffee roasting industry with both practical and theoretical knowledge.
This is very much a hands on role, engaging with customers, directing counter service, having a creative eye for displays with a good general knowledge of seasonal food and cafe trends.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Manager of the cafe on a day to day basis
- Ensuring that the internal culture is positive, happy and engaging
- Supervision of the customer experience, making sure that the service is constantly up to a high standard and staff are meeting company expectations
- Quality control of food and drinks, ensuring consistency with presentation and offering
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the cafe, delegating tasks where necessary & following EHO guidelines
- Maintaining stock control and ordering with the businesses finances in mind
- Cashing up, banking and consolidating revenue reports
- Recruitment, induction training, staff reviews
- Demonstrate excellent communication and influencing skills
- Be willing to work in harmony with our Brighton store
Full time, 5 day shifts p/wk inc weekends. No evening work.
