Job Summary
We are seeking a self‑employed cleaner to support a growing local business across Canterbury and the wider area. This is a practical, physical cleaning role suited to someone reliable, organised, and confident working independently. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and previous experience in commercial cleaning.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of designated areas.
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces to meet health and safety standards.
- Empty rubbish bins and ensure waste disposal is handled appropriately.
Key Details
- 2–3 days per week, with the option to increase hours as the business grows
- Typical working hours: 8:00–16:30 (subject to variation depending on workload)
- £16 per hour, paid on a self‑employed basis
- Work involves travel between client locations
Requirements and Qualifications
- Must be able to drive and have own vehicle
- Registered as self‑employed (HMRC)
- Based in or near Canterbury
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred.
- Comfortable with physical cleaning work, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good organisational skills and reliability.
Pay: £16.00-£18.00 per hour
