Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Kitchen Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining kitchens, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship and safety. Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install kitchen units, cabinets, worktops, and appliances with precision and care
- Use a variety of hand tools and power tools to carry out fabrication, assembly, and fitting tasks
- Perform joinery work including cutting and fitting timber components to specifications
- Conduct plumbing connections for sinks, dishwashers, and other appliances as required
- Carry out minor electrical work related to kitchen installations where qualified
- Ensure all installations comply with relevant building regulations and safety standards
- Assist with site preparation, including demolition and removal of old units or fixtures
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace throughout each project
- Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, joinery, or related trades
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as saws, drills, chisels, and screwdrivers
- Experience operating power tools safely and effectively
- Knowledge of roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical systems, and construction painting is advantageous
- Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely and efficiently during installation processes
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail and quality workmanship
- Relevant qualifications or apprenticeships in carpentry or construction trades are preferred
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or within a team environment
