Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Packer to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in materials handling, warehouse management systems, and shipping & receiving operations within a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Carefully select and pack products according to order specifications, maintaining high accuracy levels.
- Handle materials efficiently, including loading and unloading goods using appropriate equipment.
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update stock records accurately.
- Assist with stock replenishment, stocking shelves, and organising storage areas to optimise workflow.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards before dispatch.
- Support shipping & receiving activities by preparing goods for dispatch or receipt, verifying quantities, and documenting transactions.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely fulfilment of orders and maintain a clean, organised workspace.
Requirements
- Previous experience in warehousing, picking & packing, or related roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading tasks.
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques and shipping & receiving processes.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in packing and documentation.
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks throughout shifts, including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy items as required.
