4-8 Session Salaried GP/View to Partnership GP
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced GP to join our friendly and cohesive team. Our priority is to find the right person, hence our flexibility in looking for candidates seeking either a salaried or partnership role. Falkland Surgery is a well-established, progressive and friendly training practice sited in a purpose built, modern building. The successful candidate will be responsible for holding their own clinical list and we strongly value continuity of care for our patients.
At Falkland Surgery, our practice values of kindness, integrity and community are central to how we work together and care for our patients. We aim to foster a supportive, respectful and collaborative environment where staff and patients feel valued and heard.
- Falkland is a 6 partner, 4 salaried GP practice: big enough to share the workload, but small enough to remain a closely supportive team with a strong sense of community.
- GMS practice allied with the forward-thinking Kennet PCN.
- We pride ourselves on our open-door policy for sharing clinical issues and supporting one another. Use of our shared working space is encouraged to allow collaborative working, peer support and informal mentoring.
- We operate a triage system for both eConsult and telephone access which allows us to prioritise appointment requests according to clinical need. We incorporate sufficient on-the-day appointments to achieve this without “extra” patients.
- We prioritise a positive work-life balance and collective wellbeing. Our team regularly go running or walking at lunchtime, helping to build connection and community within the team. We are proud to be a Parkrun practice and MRCGP Active Practice
- As a training practice, we excel at providing individual mentorship, professional development and support for new staff in a culture rooted in kindness and respect.
We have a diverse and skilled multidisciplinary team including:
- 2 Clinical Pharmacists with prescribing technician support
- Excellent clinical administrative support
- First Contact Physiotherapists and an in-house physiotherapy clinic
- Primary Care Paramedic
- Frailty matrons covering nursing home ward rounds and home visits, resulting in low rates of GP visits
- Social Prescriber Link Workers who work closely with GPs to support effective and autonomous consultations and strengthen links within the wider community
- Experienced practice nurses providing high-quality chronic disease management clinics and family planning/HRT services
We use EMIS Web with Ardens searches and templates, Docman, eConsult and Accurx.
