Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Fire Door Remedial Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and ensuring the compliance of fire doors across various facilities. Your expertise will help maintain safety standards, prevent fire hazards, and ensure that all fire door systems operate effectively in emergency situations. Duties
· Carry out fire door inspections and report on condition, compliance, and remedial requirements.
· Perform remedial works such as:
o Adjusting or replacing hinges, closers, locks, and seals.
o Repairing or replacing damaged door leaves, frames, and glazing.
o Installing and maintaining intumescent strips and cold smoke seals.
· Ensure all remedial works meet UK fire safety regulations and industry best practice.
· Complete detailed documentation and compliance reports, maintaining accurate records.
· Liaise with clients, site managers, and compliance teams to ensure smooth delivery of works.
· Identify potential risks or non-compliance issues and recommend corrective action.
· Follow company health and safety procedures and ensure safe working practices on-site.
· Complete daily service reports prior to leaving site.
· Ensure all correct PPE/uniform is worn when any fire door tasks are being completed and report any issues to the labour manager.
