About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and autonomous Project Manager to lead, develop, and deliver complex technology, business, and regulatory change projects. In this role, you will manage end-to-end project lifecycles, balancing multiple conflicting priorities while navigating changing business demands. You will operate with high commercial acumen, leading matrix teams and ensuring successful delivery within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery: Lead complex business, technology, and regulatory change projects from inception to completion.
- Matrix Management: Define, plan, and manage resource requirements across various project stages.
- Change Management: Assess the "people and client side of change," carefully managing client impacts and communications to embed change successfully.
- Governance & Finance: Oversee project financial analysis, budget tracking, and cost management.
- Supplier & Commercials: Manage third-party suppliers, procurement processes, and contractual negotiations.
- Testing Oversight: Implement robust testing approaches and oversee test execution within the project environment.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Interact daily with Senior Management, using exceptional written and verbal communication to influence key decisions.
Requirements & Experience
- Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of the Financial Services industry, specifically Wealth Management, Private Banking, and Commercial Banking.
- Technical & Operational Knowledge: Strong grasp of platform operating models, including technology architectures and operational processes.
- Methodologies: Proven ability to execute delivery frameworks across both Waterfall and Agile environments.
- Problem Solving: Advanced analytical skills with experience in options analysis, scoring techniques, root cause analysis, and critical path analysis.
- Autonomy: Highly proactive with a demonstrated ability to operate independently.
Technical Skills & Tools
- Project Software: Expert proficiency in Azure DevOps (ADO), MS Project, and MS Visio.
- Productivity Suite: Advanced knowledge of standard MS Office applications.
Qualifications
- APM Project Management (PMQ) or an equivalent professional qualification / equivalent practical experience.
- Formal Change or Project Management certifications are expected.
