Site Maintenance Operative
Location: Oldham

About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Site Maintenance Operative to support the upkeep, safety, and smooth running of our site in Oldham.
You will be responsible for carrying out general maintenance, minor repairs, and supporting site compliance. This role is essential in ensuring the environment remains safe, clean, well-maintained, and suitable for staff, visitors, and service users.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance & Repairs
- Carry out general repairs and maintenance across the site
- Undertake minor works and small improvement projects
- Identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly
- Support the upkeep of buildings, facilities, and grounds
- Ensure all areas are kept in good repair and safe condition
Site Safety & Compliance
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant environment
- Support compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Respond appropriately to maintenance risks or emergencies
- Follow all site safety procedures and report hazards
Inspections & Quality Control
- Carry out regular site inspections
- Monitor and review contractor work
- Support audits and quality checks
- Escalate issues where required
Project Support
- Assist with small improvement and repair projects
- Liaise with management on larger works
- Ensure contractor areas are left clean and safe
- Contribute ideas to improve site functionality and condition
General Duties

- Maintain accurate records where required
- Work flexibly, including occasional overtime if needed

We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in maintenance, facilities, or a similar hands-on role
- Is practical, reliable, and able to work independently

- Has a good understanding of health and safety (desirable)
- Communicates well and works as part of a team
- Is punctual, responsible, and safety-focused
