Forklift / Warehouse Operative - NIGHTS
Base Salary: £33,079.80 per annum, £13.39 per hour
The Role
We are seeking an experienced counterbalance forklift operator to join our busy night shift team. You will accurately, safely and efficiently load and unload stock between vehicles and the warehouse, completing any paperwork as necessary and maintaining a safe and tidy warehouse environment.
You will be working Monday to Friday nights starting at 8pm and finishing at 6am. Overtime will be paid if hours exceed 47.5 weekly.
What You’ll Do
- Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs prior to use and report any defects or damages.
- Loading and unloading of rigid and artic vehicles and trailers.
- Moving and stacking of stock on the warehouse floor and on shelving units.
- Completing paperwork as required
- General housekeeping duties
- Support the NCR process when handling inbound goods, reporting any concerns to your Line Manager. Where possible, remedy any packaging issues.
- Assist with other ad-hoc duties as required.
The Person
- English Language skills essential – both written and verbal
- Full and valid Forklift Truck Licence essential – within the last 3 years.
- Full and valid Workplace Equipment training (preferred) – Powered Pallet Trucks, etc.
- Be an advocate for Health and Safety both internally with colleagues and where appropriate with Customers and Suppliers
- Ensure adherence and compliance with all in-house policies and procedures.
- Comfortable undertaking manual handling activities as part of day-to-day duties.
- Flexible, reliable, and safety-conscious.
