Job Summary -
We are seeking a General Assistant to join our successful team at Nice Package Ltd. At Nice Package, we specialize in providing high-quality packaging solutions to businesses of all sizes. Our extensive range of products includes everything from sturdy cardboard boxes and bubble mailers to eco-friendly packaging options made from recycled materials.
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. As a General Assistant, you'll support the business wherever needed, helping to keep our warehouse, deliveries, and day-to-day operations running smoothly. Part of the role involves driving between our sites and making deliveries, so you'll need to be comfortable driving a curtain sided van.
Working closely with the warehouse manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Fulfilling customer orders by picking stock
- Carrying out local deliveries and providing delivery driver cover during busy periods, holidays, and staff absence
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse
- Help with stock management
- Loading and unloading of vans and delivery vehicles
- Overseeing inventory at our secondary facility located just outside Ilchester
- Occasionally operating a forklift (training and certification will be provided for the right candidate)
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
The general assistant will also be required to do some delivery driving, to cover any sickness and busy periods.
Essential - Must hold a full UK driving Licence.
Experience:
- Multi-drop delivery driving (preferred but not essential)
- Forklift Driving (preferred but not essential, training and certification will be provided for the right candidate)
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
This is a full-time position: 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday, and no weekends!
