About the Role
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Working Pattern: 44 weeks per year (38 weeks term time plus 6 additional weeks)
Salary: From £26,819.51 - £40,924.58 per annum (actual annual salary, calculated on a pro-rata basis)

What You'll Be Doing
- Teaching small classes of pupils within and outside the classroom
- Planning and preparing lessons and resources whilst making adaptations to meet all the needs of all pupils
- Marking and assessing students work
- Liaising with parents, external agencies and a range of professionals
- Develop and adapt conventional teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students
Teaching & Learning
- Plan, deliver and evaluate high quality teaching for individuals and small groups in line with curriculum expectations and school priorities
- Adapt lesson plans, resources and teaching approaches to meet a wide range of learning needs and abilities
- Assess, monitor and track pupil progress, using assessment to inform planning, interventions and next steps
- Deliver structured and targeted programmes, including literacy, numeracy, emotional regulation and behaviour support.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with Senior Leaders, colleagues and support staff to implement effective teaching and inclusion strategies
- Provide regular updates to leadership on pupil progress, outcomes and emerging concerns
- Lead the development, delivery and review of Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and support strategies
Behaviour & Inclusion
- Lead the use of positive behaviour management and restorative approaches to support pupil engagement and wellbeing
- Promote an inclusive, nurturing learning environment where all pupils feel safe, respected and motivated to learn
Professional & Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up to date records of teaching, assessment and pupil progress
- Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective practice to continually improve teaching and learning
- Contribute positively to the wider ethos, values and activities of PCT Education
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS)
- Strong knowledge and experience of supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Proven ability to deliver consistently high quality teaching and learning
- Ambition and commitment to developing and enhancing their subject area
- Excellent skills in de-escalating and managing behaviour that may challenge
- A pupil centred approach, with a clear focus on individual needs and outcomes
- Ability to effectively assess, track and monitor pupil progress to inform planning
- Skilled in sequencing learning to ensure progress for all pupils
- Ability to work collaboratively and contribute positively as part of a wider team
