We are seeking an experienced Offshore Operations Manager to join our London office and play a key role in the management, performance and growth of our offshore fleet.
The Role
The Offshore Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operational and commercial management of offshore assets, ensuring vessels operate safely, efficiently and profitably. The successful candidate will work closely with technical managers, chartering teams, finance departments, offshore clients and vessel crews to maximise vessel utilisation and financial performance.
This role is office-based in London and requires attendance in the office five days per week.
Requirements
Operational Management

Oversee the day-to-day operational management of offshore vessels and assets.

Coordinate vessel activities with clients, charterers, technical managers and onboard personnel.

Support mobilisations, demobilisations and project execution activities.

Monitor vessel performance, operational efficiency and utilisation.

Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements and industry best practices.

Assist with contract implementation and operational delivery of offshore projects.
Commercial & Financial Management
-
Prepare, manage and monitor vessel operating budgets.
-
Analyse vessel profitability, utilisation and financial performance.
-
Identify opportunities to improve margins and operational efficiency.

Monitor OPEX and project costs, ensuring expenditure remains within approved budgets.

Support commercial evaluations, investment decisions and vessel acquisition opportunities.

Prepare management reports and presentations for senior leadership.
Client & Stakeholder Management

Maintain strong relationships with clients, charterers and key stakeholders.

Support tender submissions and commercial proposals where required.

Liaise with finance, legal, technical and operational teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Participate in commercial negotiations and contract discussions.
Strategic Support

Provide market intelligence and operational insight to support the company's growth strategy.

Assist in evaluating new business opportunities and offshore projects.

Support fleet expansion initiatives, vessel acquisitions and strategic investments.
Candidate Requirements
Essential Experience
-
Previous experience in offshore vessel operations management.
-
Experience with one or more of the following:
-
Accommodation vessels (Flotels)
-
Platform Supply Vessels (PSVs)
-
Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels (AHTS)
-
Offshore drilling rigs
-
Previous employment with a vessel owner or vessel operator.

Demonstrable experience preparing and managing vessel budgets.

Strong understanding of vessel profitability analysis and utilisation management.

Commercially focused with strong financial acumen.

Experience working with offshore energy clients and marine contractors.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Preferred Experience
-
Experience supporting vessel acquisitions, financings or fleet expansion projects.

Exposure to offshore operations in West Africa, Brazil, the North Sea or other international markets.

Knowledge of charter parties, offshore service agreements and marine commercial structures.

Degree or professional qualification in Maritime Studies, Engineering, Business, Finance or a related field.
