The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Barista to join our growing team on a part-time basis.
Working Days:
● Tuesday
● Wednesday
● Sunday
Hours:
● 8:00am – 2:00pm
● 3–4 days per week (depending on business needs)
As the business continues to grow, there will be opportunities for additional hours and responsibilities.
Responsibilities
● Prepare and serve consistently high-quality specialty coffee.
● Dial in the espresso machine each morning and throughout the day to maintain excellent coffee quality.
● Adjust the grinder as required to ensure espresso recipes remain consistent.
● Deliver exceptional customer service with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
● Take customer orders and operate the till.
● Prepare bagels, light lunches and other menu items.
● Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked workspace.
● Open and close the café following company procedures.
● Monitor stock levels and communicate when supplies are running low.
● Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining high standards.
Essential Requirements
● A minimum of 1 year’s experience working as a barista.
● Confident in dialling in an espresso machine and adjusting the grinder throughout the day.
● Able to texture milk to a high standard for a range of drinks.
● Passion for specialty coffee and attention to detail.
● Friendly, reliable and punctual.
● Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team.
● Takes pride in cleanliness and delivering excellent customer service.
