Join One of the UK's Leading Corporate Events Companies
Are you highly organised? Do you enjoy creating order, maintaining standards and ensuring everything is exactly where it should be?
We're looking for a meticulous and proactive Stores Person to take ownership of the organisation, accuracy and readiness of our extensive event equipment inventory.
This is a key role within our warehouse operation. Rather than preparing event loads, you'll ensure every item is correctly stored, fully maintained, accurately inventoried and immediately ready for our warehouse team to pick for upcoming events.
The Role
As our Stores Person, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day organisation of our event equipment stores, ensuring every item has a designated location, is accurately accounted for and is maintained in a constant state of readiness.
Following every event, you'll inspect returned equipment, ensure it is complete, clean and correctly stored, isolate anything requiring repair or replacement, replenish consumables and prepare equipment ready for its next deployment.
Your attention to detail will ensure our warehouse operates efficiently and that our event teams always have complete confidence in the equipment they are loading.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the organisation and management of all warehouse storage areas.
- Ensure every item of equipment is stored in the correct location and within the correct storage box or container.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels across all event equipment.
- Audit equipment returned from events, ensuring quantities are correct and all items are accounted for.
- Check returned equipment for cleanliness, completeness and condition before returning it to stock.
- Identify, isolate and record any damaged, faulty or incomplete equipment requiring repair or replacement.
- Liaise with the Maintenance Team to ensure faulty equipment is repaired before being returned to stock.
- Replenish consumable items and ensure event kits remain complete and ready for immediate use.
- Prepare and maintain equipment so it is always "event ready" for the Warehouse Team to load.
- Carry out regular stock checks and rolling inventory audits to maintain exceptional accuracy.
- Continuously improve warehouse organisation, storage systems and labelling to maximise efficiency.
- Maintain exceptionally high standards of housekeeping throughout all storage areas.
- Work closely with the Warehouse, Logistics and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth operational processes.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Has exceptional organisational skills and enjoys creating order.
- Has outstanding attention to detail.
- Takes real ownership and pride in maintaining high standards.
- Enjoys working methodically and accurately.
- Can identify problems before they become operational issues.
- Is confident managing inventory and stock control.
- Is physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling tasks.
- Works well independently while also supporting the wider warehouse team.
- Has a positive, practical and proactive attitude.
- Previous stores, inventory or warehouse experience would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.
What You'll Receive
- Competitive salary.
- Flexible working hours.
- Full training and ongoing support.
- A friendly, hardworking team environment.
- Opportunities to develop within one of the UK's leading corporate events businesses.
- Staff social events and company benefits.
- Free onsite parking.
