We currently have an opportunity for someone to join the team in our Cornwall Depot for as a goods inward operative.
Monday - Friday 6AM-2.30PM - Unpaid 30 Minute Lunch Break
Every Other Saturday 6AM-11AM
Every Sunday & Every Other Saturday Off
Annual Salary - £30,387.50with 25 Days Holiday Allowance
All Bank Holidays worked and you are given an extra days holiday for each one worked.
Basic Function:
To accurately and efficiently carry out warehouse activities as required in the areas of Goods In, stock handling, loading and unloading, load assembly, checking and issuing of batch codes to enable traceability of products.
The role mainly covers looking after our freezers and chillers, replenishing stock and taking in deliveries as well as stock counting. Candidates should be prepared to work in temperatures as low as -20 but predominantly in temperatures of around +4.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Acceptance of Goods Received.
· QC produce within the warehouse, plus temperature control intake.
· Ensure administration is completed in a timely and accurate fashion.
· Liaise with managers as required.
· General warehouse duties
· Maintaining the control of good house keeping
· Record keeping e.g. fridge temp, cleaning manuals
· Fork Lift Truck operation
· Support other departments wherever required
Health and Safety
· Ensure compliance with company and legal requirements
· Risk Assessment
· Maintaining safe systems of work
· Reporting all risks
· Reporting of any accidents
· Adhering to health and safety policies
· Wearing appropriate safety protection (Be responsible for own safety).
