We're looking for an experienced Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly team. While no formal Early Years qualification is required, you'll have previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting and a genuine passion for supporting young children during the most important years of their development.
What you'll be doing
As an Early Years Practitioner, you'll play a key role in creating an environment where children feel valued, inspired and ready to thrive.
You'll:
- Support the delivery of engaging, play-based learning experiences that encourage children to explore, discover and develop.
- Help create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where every child feels happy, secure and confident.
- Observe children's learning and development, contributing to planning activities that support their individual needs and interests.
- Build warm, positive relationships with children, parents and carers, helping every family feel welcomed and supported.
- Encourage children's communication, confidence, independence and social development through meaningful daily interactions.
- Work alongside colleagues to maintain high standards of care, learning and professionalism across the nursery.
- Support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) through everyday practice.
- Help maintain accurate records and contribute to children's learning journeys where appropriate.
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and children's wellbeing remain central to everything you do.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting.
- A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
- A caring, enthusiastic and positive approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for giving children the very best start in life.
- A willingness to learn, develop and build a long-term career in Early Years.
