Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will support the kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help us deliver outstanding service to our guests.
Duties
- Wash, clean, and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment efficiently
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and assembling ingredients
- Support the kitchen team in maintaining a tidy and organized workspace
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures to ensure health and safety standards are met
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to keep the kitchen well-equipped
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe working environment
- Support serving staff during busy periods by clearing tables and assisting with general hospitality tasks
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations is advantageous
- Strong understanding of cleanliness standards within a culinary setting
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations in food service settings
