In this position you will support people with enduring Mental Health needs and forensic histories to develop their independent living skills in preparation for move-on. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining their support plans and liaising with other statutory agencies that support our customers on a day-to-day basis. Applicants should be familiar with the principles of recovery-based support, trauma-informed care and with the importance of contributing towards psychologically informed environments. Support at the service is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Consequently, this role does involve shift work including evenings, nights and weekends.
MTVH are able to provide full training to you if you have the desire and compassion to take up this role. This training will ensure you provide personalized care and support services to our customers with dignity. This role does require you to work flexibly to ensure individual needs are met while maximizing independence, choice, privacy and well-being, in collaboration with the senior care and support workers/team leaders.
What you'll need to succeed:

The ability and experience to assist customers with their identified support needs in line with their care plans as required.

Empower customers to maintain and establish positive relationships in the wider community.

Provide practical support to customers for essential daily living tasks.

Assist with the creation of support plans and work with external parties in achieving the best outcomes for customers.

Encourage customers in developing and maintaining independence and emotional wellbeing.

You will demonstrate you understand what good support looks like appropriate to the age, gender, disability, race, religion, and sexuality of the customer to improve their quality of life and independence
To meet our commitment to providing safe, high quality services to our customers we will complete a enhanced background check with the Disclosure and Barring Service adding you to the DBS update service once an offer of employment is made.
Internal applicants are required to complete their company six-month probationary period before applying for a new role this is outlined in the Probation Policy and Probation Procedure.
