Overview of the Role
As a Telesales Executive, you will support the growth of the independent pet trade channel through proactive outbound calling to existing and prospective customers. Additionally, you will be responsible for building strong relationships, generate sales opportunities and ensuring excellent service and support across the customer base.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of existing independent pet trade customers via telephone and email
- Proactively contact new and lapsed customers to generate new business opportunities
- Drive sales growth through upselling, cross-selling and promoting the Pets Choice product portfolio
- Build strong, lasting relationships with customers to support retention and repeat business
- Support promotional activity and product launches through targeted calling campaigns
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently in line with company procedures
- Maintain up-to-date customer records, call notes and activity within CRM systems
- Work closely with Area Sales Managers and Account Managers to support territory and account plans
- Resolve customer queries and issues in a timely and professional manner
- Monitor market activity and provide feedback on customer needs and competitor activity
Skills, experience and qualifications required
Essential
- Previous experience in a telesales, sales support or customer service role
- Strong communication skills with confidence in building relationships over the phone
- Results-driven with a proactive and positive approach to sales
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of calls and tasks
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order processing and data entry
- Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with field sales and account management teams
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
Desirable
- Experience within FMCG, pet industry or working with independent retailers
- Experience using sales reporting tools
Pay: £27,500.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Blackburn BB1 5UD
