At St John Ambulance, we believe that you should be able to receive the first aid you need in a health emergency from the people around you. That’s why we put community first aid at the heart of what we do, to make sure we all have the confidence and knowledge to act in a health crisis.
We are seeking Ambulance Technicians/Associate Ambulance Practitioners to deliver high‑quality Emergency and Non- Emergency care across their local counties by responding to and managing emergency calls/incidents at events which may include venues such as stadia, concert halls, motorsports tracks, road races and night time economies etc.
This role is ideal for individuals looking to apply their existing clinical experience through our recognition of prior learning pathway. They shall provide specialist, clinical, social and holistic care while undertaking clinical assessment and interventions in the pre-hospital environment. You will be expected to mainly be involved working on an ambulance, temporary event medical centres, or may also include supporting any local 'Co-Responding' Schemes.
Successful candidates should already hold a relevant Technician certificate, including:
IHCD Ambulance Technician certificate,
Level 4 Associate Ambulance Practitioner,
FREUC5,
University-led Certificate in Emergency Ambulance Technician.

We will make sure you will have access to a proper induction to volunteering with SJA and the organisational training you need for the role you take on. We will also provide you with a supportive environment while you are volunteering with us.
