What We Are Looking For
We’re looking for an experienced and compassionate ADHD & ASC Assessor to join our growing clinical team at an exciting time for CARE ADHD. Alongside our established ADHD service, we’re launching our new Autism service, and we’re looking for clinicians with the skills and experience to support both ADHD and Autism assessments.
This is an exciting opportunity to play an important role in shaping our new ASC pathway while continuing to support our established ADHD service. You’ll bring strong mental health experience, neurodevelopmental assessment knowledge and a genuine passion for providing high-quality, client-centred care.
You’ll be confident working independently, comfortable using digital systems and excited to contribute to a service that is continuously evolving.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an ADHD & ASC Assessor, you will play an important role in supporting clients through their neurodevelopmental assessment journey. Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive ADHD and Autism (ASC) assessments using clinical interviews, questionnaires and appropriate diagnostic tools.
- Gathering and reviewing relevant clinical, developmental and background information to support assessment and diagnostic decision-making.
- Producing clear, accurate and high-quality assessment reports and recommendations.
- Building strong rapport with clients and creating a safe, supportive and non-judgemental assessment experience.
- Considering co-occurring mental health conditions and other factors that may impact a client’s presentation.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider clinical team to ensure a seamless client journey.
- Keeping up to date with current ADHD and Autism research, clinical guidance and best practice.
- Using digital systems confidently to manage assessments, documentation and client information.
- Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of our ADHD and ASC assessment pathways.
- Maintaining high standards of clinical governance, confidentiality and professional practice.
To Thrive in This Role, You’ll Need To:

Hold a Mental Health Nursing qualification and current professional registration.
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working within mental health.
- Have previous ADHD and/or Autism (ASC) assessment experience.
- Have UKAAN training or equivalent ADHD assessment training.
- Have ADOS-2, ADI-R or ACIA training or practical experience.
- Have a strong understanding of ADHD and Autism, including their presentations, assessment and consideration of co-occurring conditions.
- Have experience working with neurodevelopmental presentations and supporting individuals with ADHD and Autism.
- Be confident producing high-quality clinical reports with excellent attention to detail. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a wide range of clients.
- Be comfortable working independently while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team.
- Be confident using technology and digital systems within a remote clinical environment.
- Have a proactive and adaptable approach, with a willingness to learn and contribute to a growing service.
- Be passionate about delivering a high-quality, compassionate and client-centred assessment experience.
We will also consider applications from Occupational Therapists, Pharmacists and Social Workers where applicants have the relevant professional registration, a minimum of 3 years’ mental health experience and appropriate ADHD and/or Autism assessment experience and training.

- The role involves conducting confidential 1:1 client appointments remotely.
- Training and support will be provided as part of your onboarding and development.
- You will be expected to maintain the standards of your relevant professional registration and work within your professional scope of practice.

️ Our Hiring Process
We aim to make our hiring process as streamlined as possible.

Initial Microsoft Teams calls with one of our Talent Acquisition Specialists will take place on between the 21st September - 25th September the perfect chance for us to get to know each other more.
Interviews will be held on the 8th and 9th October.
Successful candidates will then progress through our clinical onboarding and training process to ensure they are fully supported before working independently.
