We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about coffee delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop barista skills while working in a welcoming setting, ensuring customers enjoy a memorable experience with every visit. The position involves preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the overall operation of the café.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, adhering to company recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed during food preparation and service.
- Take customer orders accurately, process payments efficiently, and handle cash or card transactions with precision.
- Maintain a clean and organised work station, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and surfaces regularly.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers politely and professionally.
- Assist with food preparation tasks when required, such as assembling sandwiches or snacks.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Barista or in food service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Preferable SCA Trainning - Barista Skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards is highly desirable.
- Food Hygiene level 2.
- Experience in serving customers with professionalism and friendliness.
- Basic food preparation skills are advantageous.
- Good time management skills to handle peak periods efficiently.
- Ability to perform simple maths calculations accurately for cash handling and order processing.
- Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude towards teamwork.
