Oak Hill Community Nursery and Pre School
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and conscientious Evening Nursery Cleaner to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our children, staff and families.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing the nursery’s cleaning duties every evening, ensuring all areas are thoroughly cleaned, sanitised and left ready for the following day.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
- Sweeping and mopping hallway floors and cleaning glass doors.
- Emptying bins and cleaning the staff room, including the sink area, floor and rug.
- Emptying office bins and cleaning desks, phones and intercoms.
- Thoroughly cleaning staff, disabled and children’s toilets, including toilets, sinks, floors, mirrors, tiles and doors.
- Hoovering and mopping all rooms.
- Removing cobwebs and dust from light fittings, ledges and skirting boards. (once a week)
- Completing the daily cleaning checklist and recording your initials to confirm the work has been completed.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and punctual.
- Thorough and takes pride in their work.
- Able to work independently and follow a cleaning schedule.
- Conscious of the importance of cleanliness and hygiene in a childcare environment.
- Organised and able to ensure all required tasks are completed each evening.
- Respectful of a professional nursery environment.
- Must hold a valid DBS.
Previous cleaning experience would be beneficial, particularly experience in a childcare, education, healthcare or other similar setting.
