OCOSC are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Room Leader to oversee a vibrant and engaging childcare environment during the summer holidays. In this role, you will ensure that young children receive high-quality care and early childhood education in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating setting. You will inspire creativity, foster development, and promote positive experiences for every child. Duties
- Oversee our small early years room over the summer holidays
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development across cognitive, social, emotional, and physical domains
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and safeguarding policies
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress, activities, and any concerns
- Ensure you follow our policies, procedures, and best practices in childcare and early education
- Monitor children's behavior positively, encouraging social skills, cooperation, and independence
- Support the onboarding of new team members and assist in their ongoing training and development
Qualifications
- Proven management experience within a childcare or nursery setting
- Experience working with children in early childhood education or childcare environments
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in nursery care
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively liaise with children, parents, and team members
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are essential
- Ability to work actively outdoors or indoors for extended periods while maintaining high energy levels
