As a PIP Disability Assessor, you’ll use your clinical knowledge, assessment skills and professional judgement to assess how an individual's health condition or disability affects their daily living and mobility.

Use your clinical skills differently
No treatment or hands-on care. Instead, you’ll use your clinical reasoning, communication skills and professional judgement to complete objective assessments.
Full paid training
No previous Disability Assessor experience is required. You’ll receive a comprehensive 12-week training programme, followed by ongoing clinical support and development.
What will you be doing?
Conduct PIP (Personal Independence Payment) assessments via telephone and face-to-face appointments.
Assess how health conditions and disabilities affect an individual's daily living and mobility.
Review medical evidence and information provided by claimants.
Use your clinical reasoning and professional judgement to make fair, objective and evidence-based assessments.
Produce clear, accurate and detailed reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
Ensure every assessment is completed to a high clinical and professional standard.

Who are we looking for?
We’re keen to hear from Registered Adult, Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Paramedics with at least 1 year of post-registration experience.
You’ll need strong communication and report-writing skills, confidence using IT, and the ability to apply your clinical knowledge objectively.
Previous PIP or Disability Assessor experience isn't required — full training and support will be provided.
