Handyman/Maintenance Operative
18 hours a week overtime available paid at an extra pound per hour and wage negotiable.
Duties will include carrying out day to day maintenance repairs to a high standard, painting, decorating, basic plumbing, general maintenance, differentiating between minor repairs and when more specialist skills are required, ensuring equipment is used safely in accordance with health and safety regulations, testing fire alarm system and call bell system, attending out of hours call outs as and when required.
The successful candidate will be friendly, motivated, flexible, have previous experience in a similar role and have a wide range of practical skills. You must be well organised, have the ability to prioritise your workload and be able to work alone or as part of the team. A driving licence is essential. This position is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure and two suitable references.
