We are currently recruiting suitably qualified, competent and experienced Skilled Civils Groundworkers and Squads to work across various sectors of Civil Engineering and in particular exciting opportunities in the Water and Energy Sectors. With contract works throughout North West England and North Wales this presents an opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading multi discipline Civil Engineering and Building Contractors in our Northern England division.
A competitive hourly rate will be available dependent on skills and experience.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- To ensure all groundwork tasks are carried out and completed to the required specification, quality assurance, safety and environmental standards.
- To ensure that groundwork tasks are completed within the allocated timescales.
Essential
- CSCS Card
- Twelve months experience within the construction industry.
- Competent in a wide range of ground works, such as drainage installation, trench and foundation excavation, concrete placing/finishing, kerbing and paving.
- Range of specific skills for the job, such as the use of manual and mechanical equipment, tools and machinery.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Highly motivated and able to use own initiative when required.
Desirable
- Groundwork-related S/NVQ
- CPCS Forward-Tipping Dumper, Ride-on Roller, 360° Excavator
- Experience in either Energy or Water Sectors
- Twenty-four months experience in a similar role.
- High level of technical competency partnered with an eagerness to add to knowledge and skills.
- Strong determination and a good work ethic.
- Commitment to continued professional learning and development.
