E-Commerce Executive

A hands-on e-commerce and stock operations role supporting a seamless customer experience across our online store and Metrocentre retail location.
About the role
Badge Clothing is looking for a proactive, organised and commercially aware E-Commerce Executive to manage the day-to-day operation of our online store and support its continued growth.
This is a varied, hands-on role covering web-order fulfilment, e-commerce administration, customer service, product content and stock control. A major part of the position is processing stock deliveries and maintaining accurate inventory records through our Top to Toe EPOS system.
Based at our Metrocentre store, you will help ensure that products and orders move accurately and efficiently through every stage, from incoming stock delivery and EPOS entry to online fulfilment and the shop floor.
Key responsibilities
- E-commerce and web-order operations
- Take responsibility for processing all web orders from receipt through to completion.
- Ensure customers receive accurate and timely order and delivery updates.
- Monitor outstanding, delayed or failed orders and resolve issues promptly.
- Process returns, refunds, cancellations and exchanges accurately and efficiently.
- Create, upload and maintain product listings, including titles, descriptions, prices, categories, sizes, imagery and stock availability.
- Ensure product information is accurate, complete and consistently presented online.
- Monitor online availability to help prevent stock discrepancies and overselling.
- Respond professionally and promptly to enquiries received through email, social media and other online channels.
- Support online product launches, promotional campaigns and seasonal sales.
- Coordinate with colleagues to ensure products, prices and promotions are correctly represented online.
- Monitor website activity and identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and increase online sales.
- Social media and digital content
- Support and help develop Badge Clothing's presence across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
- Plan, create and publish engaging social media content that reflects the Badge Clothing brand and appeals to our target customers.
- Create short-form content, including product features, videos, Stories and Reels, to support new arrivals, launches and promotions.
- Keep up to date with platform trends, features and content formats and identify relevant opportunities for the business.
- Monitor comments, messages and engagement, responding professionally and escalating customer-service matters where appropriate.
- Review basic social media performance and use engagement insights to help improve future content.
- EPOS, stock deliveries and inventory control
- Take responsibility for processing all incoming stock deliveries accurately and efficiently.
- Enter new products and deliveries into the back end of the Top to Toe EPOS system.
- Create and maintain accurate product records, including descriptions, prices, sizes, colours, product codes and other relevant information.
- Create and print barcodes and product labels, checking that all information is correct.
- Ensure delivered products are entered into the system, labelled correctly and prepared before being transferred to the stockroom or shop floor.
- Maintain accurate stock levels across the store, stockroom and online channels.
- Record outgoing stock, returns, transfers, adjustments and other stock movements within the EPOS system.
- Carry out regular stock counts and cycle counts and investigate discrepancies promptly.
- Coordinate stock transfers and replenishment between the online operation, stockroom and shop floor.
- Maintain an organised stock-processing area and support high stockroom standards.
- Monitor fast-selling, slow-moving and low-stock products and provide relevant information to management.
- Reporting and administration
- Produce regular reports covering online sales, stock levels, stock movements, returns and order fulfilment.
- Maintain accurate records and complete routine administrative tasks.
- Review e-commerce and stock performance to identify trends, issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Support management with inventory planning, product launches and forecasting.
- Use Microsoft Excel and other business systems to organise information and support decision-making.
- Skills and experience
Essential
- Previous experience in e-commerce, retail operations, stock control or inventory management.
- Experience using an EPOS, stock-management or inventory system.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Confidence working accurately with product data, prices, barcodes and stock records.
- A good understanding of online retail operations and order fulfilment.
- Good written communication skills, including the ability to produce accurate and engaging product descriptions.
- Strong customer-service and problem-solving skills.
- Competence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work accurately in a fast-paced retail environment.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to the wider team.
Desirable
- Previous experience using the Top to Toe EPOS system or a comparable retail EPOS and inventory-management platform.
- Experience managing product listings through WordPress, WooCommerce or a similar e-commerce platform.
- Experience preparing product imagery or using basic image-editing software.
- An understanding of SEO and how product content can improve online visibility.
- Practical knowledge of Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, including content creation and audience engagement.
- Experience supporting email marketing, social media or online promotional campaigns.
- An established personal or professional social media presence, with evidence of building an engaged audience, would be advantageous.
- An interest in fashion, clothing and current retail trends.
