Lifting Gear & Safety is looking for an ambitious, motivated Assistant Depot Manager to support the day-to-day running of our busy Bristol depot.

Working alongside the Depot Manager, you'll play a key role in leading the team, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring our operations run safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

What You'll Be Doing
As Assistant Depot Manager, you'll support both the operational and commercial success of the depot by:
- Supporting the daily management of depot operations.
- Raising hire and sales contracts and processing customer orders.
- Picking, packing and preparing equipment for dispatch.
- Deputising for the Depot Manager during periods of absence.
- Leading, motivating and supporting the depot team.
- Ensuring company procedures, quality standards and health & safety requirements are maintained.
- Building strong relationships with customers by delivering outstanding service.
- Helping drive continuous improvement across depot operations.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with the right attitude as much as the right experience.
You'll ideally have:
- A positive, proactive and hands-on approach.
- Previous experience in a supervisory, team leader or assistant management role.
- Strong leadership skills with the confidence to motivate and support others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
- A good understanding of depot, hire or distribution operations.
- A commitment to maintaining high safety and service standards.
Experience within the lifting equipment, hire or industrial sector would be an advantage, but it's not essential—we value attitude, commitment and the willingness to learn.
