We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic administrator to support Enfield CYP Occupational Health department, which is part of our Enfield Community Service. This is a full time role Monday to Friday 9.00-17.00
Our aim is to provide a high level of customer focused, patient care. You will have day to day responsibility for providing a high-quality service to the team and be able to cover colleagues as and when required. You will be ensuring that all patient referrals and appointments are accurately recorded on our Patient Information system, RIO.
The post holder will be booking appointments and interpreters, processing referrals, opening referrals on RIO, scanning and uploading, dealing with queries from patients, GPs and other professionals.
You will be required to use your initiative in all aspects of secretarial and clerical work to efficiently prioritise work and meet deadlines, as the service requires.
Your duties will encompass processing referrals, typing of letters and reports, taking and transcribing minutes at meetings as necessary, telephone liaison as necessary with external agencies, management of clinicians diaries and making appointments at the request of the service. You will assist in the maintenance of records, filing, archiving and photocopying and any duties essential to the comprehensive
secretarial support service you will provide

The post will be based at Cedar House, St Michael's Primary Care Centre.
We are a friendly admin hub that provides administrative support to a group of Paediatric Therapy & Clinical teams (Speech and Language, Dietetics, Nursing, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy)
The role is administrative and requires a good ability to organise, attention to detail as well as excellent communication skills. You will liaise regularly with clinicians and other admin staff and the ability to work well under pressure, show initiative and be a team player is essential. In addition, the successful candidate should have good IT skills and previous experience of office or reception duties is essential, preferably within a healthcare setting.
You will be a self-starter, working on own initiative but also able to work well as part of a team.
Some of the tasks involve:
- opening referrals on RIO
- maintaining a spreadsheet of referrals and waiting list
- sending appointments
- dealing with queries from patients, GPs and other professionals
- booking clinic appointments
- liaising with schools
- printing, scanning and uploading
- supervising a junior administrator
- any other office job that is required
