Job Overview
The Logistics Co-ordinator will support the end-to-end movement of goods, working closely with the Project Management team, customers, suppliers and third-party logistics partners. The role is responsible for arranging transport and deliveries to site, monitoring shipments, maintaining accurate records and helping to ensure that consignments arrive on time, within budget and in line with customer requirements.
This position requires excellent organisation, strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport and delivery coordination: Arrange transportation and site deliveries in a timely, coordinated and cost-effective way, working closely with the Project Management team.
- Shipment tracking and routing: Monitor inbound and outbound freight, track consignments, resolve transit delays and support route planning across road, rail, air or sea where required.
- Customer service: Liaise with customers to understand specific delivery requirements and ensure these are met quickly, efficiently and professionally.
- Supplier and courier coordination: Build effective working relationships with carriers, couriers, suppliers and third-party logistics partners to support smooth delivery operations.
- Inventory and order support: Assist with stock visibility, incoming receipts, outgoing orders and accurate records to support supply chain continuity.
- Documentation and compliance: Prepare and process accurate shipping documentation, delivery paperwork and customs or compliance records where applicable.
- Reporting and administration: Track delivery performance, update schedules and provide clear reports or updates to management and internal stakeholders.
Skills, Experience and Knowledge
Confident and professional telephone manner, with the ability to communicate clearly with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Good IT literacy, including Microsoft Excel and/or Smartsheet experience.
Experience with using Microsoft business central would be an advantage
Experience working with third-party couriers or transport providers would be advantageous but is not essential.
Knowledge of logistics, shipping terminology, import/export processes or warehouse management systems would be beneficial.
Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative, with a proactive and self-motivated approach.

- Salary £35,000
- Monday to Thursday, 07:30am to 4:30pm, with a 3:30pm finish on Fridays.

Pay: £33,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
