Assistant Facilities Manager

We're looking for an experienced Assistant Facilities Manager to join a leading Facilities Management team based at a prestigious corporate site in Leeds.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team with an October 2026 start date.

Working alongside the Regional Facilities Services Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day delivery of cleaning and workplace services, while leading supervisors, building strong client relationships and driving continuous improvement across the site.
Key responsibilities':

Leading the day-to-day delivery of cleaning and workplace services across a busy corporate environment.

Managing and supporting two Cleaning Supervisors and providing oversight of the wider cleaning team.

Ensuring contractual KPIs, service levels and quality standards are consistently achieved.

Carrying out workplace inspections and implementing improvements where needed.

Coordinating planned and reactive facilities activities with engineering teams, contractors and suppliers.

Managing staffing levels, rotas and resources to ensure seamless service delivery.

Building strong relationships with client stakeholders and responding quickly to service requests.

Promoting a positive Health & Safety culture, ensuring compliance with COSHH, risk assessments and safe systems of work.

Monitoring budgets, stock levels, consumables and supplier performance.

Supporting audits, compliance activities and continuous service improvements.
What we're looking for:
-
Experience within Facilities Management, Workplace Services or Cleaning Operations.

Previous experience leading cleaning supervisors or operational teams.

Strong knowledge of professional cleaning methods, equipment and COSHH regulations.

Experience managing KPIs, SLAs and quality standards.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
-
Experience coordinating contractors and service providers.
-
A proactive, customer-focused approach with a passion for delivering high standards.

Desirable
-
Professional cleaning qualification, such as BICSc or an equivalent certification, is desirable.

IOSH Managing Safely (or similar Health & Safety qualification).
-
Experience within a large corporate or high-profile workplace.
-
Membership of IWFM or another relevant professional body.
