Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy high-quality software applications across multiple platforms using languages such as JavaScript, Java, C#, Python, C++, Ruby on Rails, C, and VBA.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for application development.
- Maintain and enhance existing software systems by troubleshooting issues and implementing improvements.
- Build and consume APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) to enable seamless integration between different systems and services.
- Utilize version control tools like GitHub, SVN, Git, and Azure DevOps to manage code repositories efficiently.
- Work with cloud services such as AWS and Azure to deploy applications in scalable environments.
- Write optimized SQL queries for database management using MySQL or other relational database systems like SQL Server.
- Ensure software security best practices are followed during development to protect data integrity and privacy.
- Participate in code reviews, testing procedures, and documentation efforts to uphold quality standards.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development processes.
Skills
- Proficiency in front-end development frameworks and technologies including JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and RESTful APIs.
- Strong command of back-end programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, Ruby on Rails, C++, C, and VBA.
- Experience working with version control systems like GitHub, SVN, Git, and Azure DevOps for source code management.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS and Azure for application deployment and scaling.
- Solid understanding of database systems such as MySQL or SQL Server; ability to write complex queries.
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems for server management and deployment tasks.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs for enhanced functionality within applications.
- Ability to develop software following Agile methodologies in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail to deliver reliable solutions quickly.
