We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Personal Assistant to support a bright and unique 7-year-old boy with Autism, PICA, and a Learning Disability. This is a temporary role to cover a current PA absence, with the potential to become permanent for the right person.
This is a genuinely rewarding opportunity to build trust, offer reassurance, and support a child who experiences the world in his own way.
What you’ll be doing

Providing gentle and respectful personal care
Supporting with meals and drinks - ️
Helping him feel safe and understood at home-
Engaging in simple social and leisure activities
He is nonverbal and does not yet understand Makaton, so patience, empathy, and a calm approach are essential. At times, he may feel overwhelmed, and you will play an important role in helping him regulate his emotions through positive and sensitive support.
