Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our new street food concept kitchens at our pub. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with the ability to work on their own and have creativity to design new street food menus. This role requires a commitment to food safety and quality, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of excellence. Days required are Wednesday to Sunday.
Hours are - Wednesday & Thursday 3-9.30pm, Friday 11-3pm & 4.30-9.30pm, Saturday 10.30-9.30pm and Sunday 11-7pm. Expected hours to range from 40-45 per week.
Regular 2 days off in a row.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to our menu specifications.
- Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
- Monitor inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
- Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
- Ensure the kitchen is organised, clean, and well-maintained at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability high pressured environments.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary arts.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Maintain a clean kitchen.
- Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
