We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Swim Instructor to join our team and help run our term-time swimming program for the 2026-27 school year .
As a Swim Instructor, you will play a vital role in promoting water safety, developing swimming skills, and fostering a love for swimming among participants.
There will also be posisbility to carry out our swiming crash courses over the summer time.
We are offfering following days and times :
Saturdays 9am-1pm and/or 1.45pm-3.45pm
Sundays 9am-1pm and /or 1.45pm-3.45pm
The program starts w/c 7th September
Requirements
- Swim England Level 2 Swim Teacher or STA Certificate in Teaching Swimming
- Substantive experience teaching aquatics to children aged 3-18
- Previous experience in sports coaching or teaching swimming is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to educate effectively.
- A passion for swimming and promoting water safety.
- Ability to work well with individuals of all ages, from children to adults.
- Certification in lifesaving or first aid is an advantage, but not mandatory.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- A friendly, approachable demeanor with a strong commitment to customer service.
- Responsibilities
- Support the effective, safe, and fun delivery of the swimming program
- Support a safe and secure environment for swimmers in the pool
- Other responsibilities within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the role as determined by the Operations Manager
- Desirable qualifications/experience
- RLSS or STA Swim Teacher Rescue Award, or the willingness to undertake training
